Frequently Asked Questions
How much does therapy cost?
If you are using insurance, your payment will be based on if you have a copay or a deductible:
- Copay: This is the portion you owe for services. This typically ranges from $20 to $50 per session.
- Deductible: You are responsible for paying the full amount before your insurance policy starts covering the cost. This typically ranges from $70 to $150 per session.
If you are not using insurance, the private pay rate is $150 per session.
How long does therapy take?
Therapy can last anywhere from a few sessions to several months or even years. It’s important to remember that therapy is a unique and individualized experience, and the length of treatment will vary depending on various circumstances.
How often do we need to meet?
Most clients start with weekly or biweekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. However, frequency can be adjusted based on your needs, goals, and progress—we’ll decide together what works best for you.
What insurance do you accept?
I accept Aetna; BCBS; BCN; Carelon/Beacon Health Options (BHO); Cigna/Evernorth; Cofinity; McLaren; MultiPlan; Priority Health; UBH (United Healthcare and UMR).
I also offer a cash/private pay rate. Each session is $150/hour.
Do you offer in-person and online sessions?
Both!
In-person sessions are held at either the Clarkston or Grand Blanc office.
Online sessions are held in a secure and private Zoom meeting.
I’m new to therapy. What should I expect?
As a new client, you can expect a supportive, confidential space to explore your concerns. In our first sessions, we’ll discuss your goals, background, and what brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll create a plan tailored to your needs, and the pace will always be guided by your comfort and readiness.
